I got a rebuildable '56 engine and was looking at the inliners engine casting numbers and notice that for the specific engine that I got, the casting number says the following: 3837004 Chevrolet 55-57 235-261 I noticed that all other casting numbers refer to only either 235 or 261 but this casting number refers to both. My question is: What differences the 235 from the 261? Did GM used the same block for the the two sizes? Thanks, Antonio, '53 3100 (getting some progess) oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
