Dave,
I live about 25 miles from Windom and although I haven't done any business
with Bruce Horkey, I have spoken to him. He has a reputation for quality and
quite extensive knowledge about wood and cabinet making.
When I did my bed, I chose wood from Chevy Duty simply because it was
cheaper and I was sticking with pine. I did need to do some minor router work
but was otherwise satisfied. But if your looking for high quality or thinking
about oak, then I would give Horkey's a call.
