Just purchased 1955 GMC with the original 288 V8. I'm having trouble getting the engine to operate. Has anyone had experience with this beast and if so, is it a good engine to rebuild. The heads have been redone, but, cylinder compression is in the 90's. Help. Is it worth saving... Thanks for your help. This mailing list is great.
