The T-5 also has the reputation of being THE WORST transmission
ever installed by any company with the rights to produce Jeeps.
It was a gasping effort by AMC to meet CAFE requirements in the
early '80s. Holds up well behind the 4 cylinders, though. I
would probably consider it behind a stock 235, but steer clear
for V8, modified sixes and 4WDs.
