The global economy is definitely here to stay, but my point was, when given
the option, I will buy something made here, even if it cost a bit more. Last
week I went to buy a new pair of sunglasses, and ended up buying a pair of
Oakleys, not just because I liked 'em, but because they are made in the U.S.
Competition is good. If it wasn't for the Japanese building better cars in
the 80's, and kicking Detroit's butt, we would not have the fine American
cars available today (many of which are built in Mexico). This debate could
go on forever.
