Subject: [oletrucks] Viking sighting!
I saw a '58 Viking west of Houston. It had its share of problems, like
rusty cab corners, and cracked front fenders, but it was restoreable. The
doors worked. I've seen many hanging on by only one hinge. I believe the
series designation was 6800. Here's the kicker: it was a tandem. No duallys.
I think it would make a good car hauler; it's good for at least 2 tons. It
had a 400 small block with lots of blowby and a 2 speed rearend. I think it
would run once it's out of the mud. How much is this worth? Did Chevy make
any tandem axle trucks?
