You have found yourself a5703, or more likely a 57035. The year model should be
a 1953. This is a Cab Over Engine or COE. The rating was a nominal 2 ton with a
158 inch wheel base. According to the specs on a 5703 there was a 11 leaf stack
with 4 leaf stack as aux springs on the rear and 11 leaf stack on the front.
The information comes from the Chevy packet showing chassis and body deminsions.

I suspect you're correct. The more I think about it the push button
door handles probably indicate it's later than I thought. I just checked
the plate on our 49 and it was painted over by a previous owner. I
took the two clutch head screws out and am soaking it in mineral spirits
now, hoping to get the paint off without destroying the original printing.
