I pulled the rear end for clean/fix up. When I got the rear cover off I counted teeth. No cavities, er, um, wait - 39 on the ring - 10 on the pinion - 3.90:1. Was this a stock ratio for 58' or has someone changed the differential? In the overall scheme of things this should be a fairly decent ratio for around town driving with occasional hi way miles - yes? Paul W.
