Indeed. But thanks to the loopholes in the rules it puts out a lot more
pollution than an equivelent passenger car, even here in California. Since
virtually everyone where I live now tools round in a People Truck, the last
two years have seen a brown smog haze equal to that in Los Angeles desecrate
the sky here in the Bay Area. That, mind you, even with LOT more stringent
rules for trucks than anywhere else. The rules were made on the basis that
there were a lot fewer trucks than cars, therefore....I've called my
congressman and Senator: much good it's going to do me. Get a Station Wagon:
It'll do the same job but won't look quite so butch.
