Now that they've got the supercharged air, the only things missing are
the fuel, spark, and combustion chambers...
Seriously, its a noble effort although a bit eccentric. Almost any
vehicle developed will fit some market niche somewhere (except perhaps
the ... no I won't say it, I don't need any flames right now).
It'll make the Honda Insight and the Toyota Prius look like real
performers. (don't get me wrong, I actually like the technological
achievements that have gone into the Insight)
Imagine the safety restrictions on the compressed air filling
stations.
As for our US federal government, it becomes a moot issue unless it
gets all kinds of variances from safety regulations. I hate to
imagine what an SUV would do to one of these let alone a truck.
It might spark all sorts of interesting vanity plates however.
