Sorry if this is received in duplicate.
The leather seats on my '59 Riley 1.5 have deteriorated and I have been
trying to find a source for the leather for them. They are red and grey.
I'm afraid that kits aren't readily available because the cars just aren't
that popular, unlike Minors, TR's, and MG's.
I've been looking and looking to try to find a source for the light grey
leather and for a firm to reupholster the front seats and repair the rear
seats. Today I got a quote from an upholstery shop in Napa, CA. They want
$2,500 to redo the seats, and that's not including leather. Considering the
value of the car, this is rather shocking news!
Does anyone know of a firm in the UK that will make up seat kits for my
Riley which I could have installed here? There must be a firm that has
prepared such upholstery for other Riley 1.5's so that they would have the
patterns.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
