Gunnar, Regarding your 1954 + 4. It won't be a mater of TR2 or TR3, but rather Standard Vangard or TR2. The first TriumphTR2 was produced in August of 1953, the first Morgan with a TR2 engine was produced in December 1953 (it had chassis # 2750) and they continued to use TR2 engines until 1956. The engine number you quoted would appear to be that of a TR2. Keep researching it will all come clear eventually. Regards, Jeff. 1958 +4 Roadster |
