<<Or is there
some advantage to registering as a historic vehicle?>>
Cheap plates, Ron.
Same as every where else<F>!!
That is why:
My wife's '73 Black Tulip MGB wears STANDARD ILL plates "CINS 73".
My '63 AH wears STANDARD ILL plates "AH BJ 7".
My Daily Driver '70 El Camino wears STANDARD ILL plates "7 AH BJ (B)(truck)".
My "retired" '70 El Camino wears STANDARD ILL "generic #s" plates.
But guess what?? I can go drive ANY of them ANY time I want.
Ain't got no time for "parades" and/or "exhibitions"!!
Make it "worse"?? All FOUR did not cost (even with 'work required' costs)
what my wife's '05 Malibu Maxx did!!! And they are worth CONSIDERABLY MORE
and are NOT going down in value!!!!
Antique or Historic plates?? NOT!!!!!!!!!
