Diagonal braking systems will cause the car to pull if one system fails. The front brakes do most of the work, and if,. let's say, the right front and left rear go out, the left front and the right rear will work, but the car will pull badly to the left, possibly into oncoming traffic or a car in the next lane. IIRC, since it is a while since I had a master apart, there is a spring between the primary and secondary pistons. This also affects the front/rear proportioning. Maynard |
