My subsequent thoughts also. As I say I have no experience of dual circuit
brakes with one circuit failed, but logic dictates that surely the whole
point of the system is that if one circuit is leaking and not developing any
pressure, or is full of air, the other circuit *must* give a firm pedal
albeit it with increased stopping distances (especially if the front circuit
has the fault) otherwise there is no point in having dual circuits.
Therefore either both master seals are faulty, that for the rears such that
it won't even develop enough pressure to push fluid out of the rear bleed
nipples although the fronts will, or as Hans says the front master seal is
leaking back and the rear circuit is blocked and contains air.
