Vinyl is easier to maintain (i.e. a quick wash as opposed to periodic
restaining/sealing of canvas) but quality canvas does look better if kept in
good nick.  Personally I think the more expensive vinyl is the best bet,
having a good appearance with low maintenance.  It's all about money and
time.
