Get hold of a copy of Lyndsay Porter's "Guide to Purchase and DIY
Restoration of the MGB" republished as "The MGB Restoration Manual".
Contains a check-list of what to look for when buying, and a guide as to how
much each costs to put right. Body condition is everything, particularly
sills and lower front and rear wings, castle rails, floorboards and
crossmember adjacent to these. By contrast mechanicals are relatively
trivial.
