You will need to 'lock' the output shaft in order to undo (and do up, 55-60 lb ft for LH-type OD, 100-130 lb ft for D-type OD, 150 lb ft no OD) the nut. A 'C'-shaped bit of metal that bolts to a couple of the studs and clears the flange nut, with an arm that can rest on the edge of the transmission tunnel should do the trick.
