Coincidently, I was reading about the 123 replacement in the March 2006
edition of the MGOC Magazine; Enjoying MG... pp 8
The advert says that it has a smoother engine torque curve and stronger
spark at all speeds. There is a rotary switch which can be turned to a
setting which enables the the curve of the 123ignition to match the
particular engine of the MGB... it gives as an example position 6 being for
MGB 18V582F series.
There is also a built in LED for simple static ignition timing.
