OT- Mac server file recovery

My question is, does anyone have first-hand experience with successfully 
recovering deleted files on Mac OS X?

We want to recover inadvertently deleted Corel files on our Mac server, and 
don't know which software to try...

Kernel Macintosh, Stellar Phoenix, CanOpener?
