Hans,
You might drain a small amount of brake fluid from a rear wheel brake
cylinder, into a clear glass jar. I would be very surprised if you did
not find a bit of water at the bottom, with silicone fluid floating
above. You will not see water in the master cylinder, as it works its
way to the lower points in the system.
