Dean,
The 2nd to 1st shift should be pretty easy if everything mechanical is
OK. Inside the gearbox you don't know the condition of synchronisers and
forks without exploratory surgery, but one thing you can check on the
outside is that the clutch slave cylinder is pushing full stroke. Another
is that the holes and clevis pin are not worn.
