Paul, You may very well be right on this one. I've never tried just swapping the hubs, but then my only experience doing this has been with the rally car -- which I had a bolt-on rear axle for, and my '68 roadster, which has ex-Datsun Z-car alloys on it. I'm usually one to attack dogma, in this case I may be spreading it! Probably should say that some claim the axle width difference can cause problems, but YMMV.
