Pedal extensions?
I know what you're talking about -- my wife uses a pillow, and she's 5' 5".
The permanent solution might be to modify the seat frame and cushion --
there is plenty of track for the seat to move forward, it just runs into the
tunnel, as you say.
Or, trade it for a Midget instead <g>.
