First make sure all the gunk is out of the hole (very important) then
your 1/2" square drive will fit most of the way in.
Since this is the first time you may find the thing is really tight. I
remember using a pipe on a breaker bar on one diff.
You can make a dedicated tool. Just grind down a short 1/2" extension.
