Wow! Thanks to all for the great information on these two topics. I'm pretty
sure that the oil seal is the same for the Z-type and the early MGA, so will
try the MGA part.

I think I am going to try doubling the composition-type head gaskets. As
soon as I get it back together I'll report if it lowers the pressure
readings or causes any problems.
