I've read:
MGB Driver: Outstanding little mag and is worth the cost of membership
in itself, but mine is always late. A tattered Nov/Dec issue arrived
at the end of January which likely means some USPS worker is interested
in MGB's and it sat in the Post Office bathroom for a month or two! :)
British Car: Probably one of my favorite magazines. They cover a
variety of British cars, so if you aren't convinced on the overall
superiority of the MG, and think a Morgan is more your speed, you might
consider giving them a look. However, like others have noted, they
were bought out by another mag and will soon cover other types of
vehicles (such as Alfas and Porsches). Still, will probably be a good
read.
British Motoring: The Spring 2003 issue was great; someone really put a
lot of work into it. This is put out by Moss Motors (the parts guys).
Get on their mailing list and it should show up. Yep, it's free, but
it is better than a lot of magazines out there that I've paid for.
MG World: A UK printed magazine that is worth a look (you can get it
at Books a Million). They do cover the new UK models quite a bit,
which is often tantalizing although frustrating.
Practical Classics: Judging by the few times I've looked at Practical
Classics (another UK printed mag), it tends to have MGB stuff quite a
bit. The last issue I looked at had a complete MGB buyers guide. But
it will have plenty of articles on Peugeots, Jensens, Minis, Fiats, UK
Fords, and other vehicles most people in the US have never heard of.
Good idea on becoming better read before taking the plunge. Check your
local book superstore (Books a Million, Barnes and Noble, etc.) for
these. I've found that they do import quite a few (but they are more
costly).
