But if you get an axle complete with backplates and decide to restore and
use that make sure it came off the same type of car. The slave cylinders on
a GT have a bigger diameter as the greater weight allows more braking effort
at the rear, and the slave cylinders and hence backplates have the locating
pin in a slightly different position. Using the wrong cylinders results in
either reduced braking effort on the GT or rear lockups on the roadster.
