Less common these days, where cars are frequently pre-announced, often as
show 'concept' cars. Where the new car will replace an existing model from
the same manufacturer it *would* make sense to keep schtumm, but for a new
model that will compete only with other manufacturers the more people you
can delay making a purchase from the opposition the better.
