I'm surprised we've never done any MG Haiku (at least not that I've found
in the last couple years of archives).
Haiku is a traditional Japanese "poem" that is more zen-ish than
rhyme-ish. It has a very rigid format - a 17 syllable verse: First line
is 5 syllables, second is 7, last is (again) 5.
Example:
My convertible
Sits so still in my driveway
Lucas electrics
or:
It seems to be stuck
Makes a god-awful squeal
That f*cking starter
or:
Autumn leaves now fall
I thank God for overdrive
Speeding on curved roads
or:
I love my MG
I would take it everywhere
Alas it seats two.
or:
Always dripping oil
It doesn't go up in smoke
Leaks like my mother
And so forth.
