I believe black is the ground color throughout the car, so it would stand to reasonthat the battery ground would also be black, regardless of whether it is connected to the pos or neg post on the battery. Of course, I would follow the cable to see where it goes, and if to the chassis, I would presume it to be the ground. Safety Fast!
