Hi Aubrey,
I have seen these but haven't got one so didn't comment on the possibilities
of repair. However if the two pieces were originally pop-rivetted could it
be done so again, or failing that a small nut and bolt? I'm assuming that
the repair would be below the carb if not 'outside' the air filter so there
is no chance of the nut or bolt going through the carb if they came loose.
