Which means any water that gets into the system will puddle at low points,
causing damage to the pipes and wheel cylinders. Unless you use a sealed MC
cap and put the brake fluid in the system whilst working in a vacuum, there
WILL be water in the system. It gets there from humidity in the air.

Yes, but with proper bleeding and waiting, you can get the air out of
silicone systems.
Silicone would be my choice for a newly restored car with fresh paint...one
that I did not intend to drive very much. For a driver, use DOT4.
With ANY car, you should change the brake fluid every few years. Because
silicone doesn't absorb water, this is VERY important to do!
