After trying seven ways from Sunday to get oil pressure off of just
cranking the motor, I gave up, attached the carbs and plugs. Since I
didn't have anyone to help I turned the key to on and turned the crank
by hand to make sure I had spark. She'd backfire, but just wouldn't
catch. So I flipped plug wires 1&4, 2&3 and she fired right up, and
made lots and lots of oil pressure. Like 75psi at 700 rpm.
Now I just need to put oil in the tranny, install the cooling system,
hook up the shift lever, install the bonnet ...
I guess I won't be doing the commute in her tomorrow morning, but by
this time tomorrow night, I plan to have driven her.
Yeehaw. It's been just shy of a year since I last drove her, and
longer than that since I took her off the road to do the paint job
(which has almost 200 miles on it.

I've found something worse than oldies station that play the music I used to
listen to. Oldies stations that play the "new" music I used to complain about.
