No, it would not.

That was not my point, nor the point of the other people posting on this
subject. The point was that the megalomanics who drive SUVs should learn
how to drive them, and not engage in miraculous feats of SUV handling when
others are on the road. I can not count the number of times that an SUV has
nearly pulzerized my TR6 (oddly enough, it was mostly Ford Explorers).
If you can't see my TR6, then go get some of those MAC truck mirrors to put
on your fenders. It is your job as a driver to be aware of ALL road traffic
and conditions, which means you should not be putting others in danger.
Equally, it is also my job as a driver to avoid any dangerous incident,
which is why I am happy to say that my TR6 was never scarred by a
confrontation with an SUV... but I know plenty of them that have!
Yes I dislike SUVs, I believe that no one should own such a large vehicle
unless they have a justifiable need to own one. When is the last time you
needed a vehicle that sat 8 people and could tow 10,000 pounds? Well if you
can say yes to that, you're one of the very very few who have a plausible
need to own an SUV.
