Since it sound like $$ isn't an issue: Take the head to a good machine
shop and have it magnafluxed to see if it has an crackes in it. If it's
OK or can be repaired, have it reconditioned, including hardened exhaust
valve seats and stainless steel exhaust valves.
While the head is off you might consider a ring and rod bearing job.
That oil in the cylinders is coming from _somewhere_, maybe worn rings.
How much of a ridge at the top of the cylinders?
