Hello all,
here's an interesting quote from an original BMC Workshop Manual:
"As the rear springs are mounted in rubber, spraying with oil should be
strictly avoided. If squeaks develop, the springs should be sprayed with
Lockheed brake fluid or treated with graphite mixed with water".
I'm not one to question the Works, but wouldn't DOT3/4 brake fluid corrode
the leaves? Has anyone ever tried this? Did the squeaks go away?
