Insert a toothpick - if it comes out clean and dry, it's done. ;-) Sorry, I
don't have any actual information, haven't done it myself.
Thanks to everyone who told me about the worn bearings being a cause of oil
pressure loss. I'll 'bear' that in mind when I go to look at the car. If I
buy the thing for $700 and need an engine immediately... anyone have one
available cheap?
I know that MG's have oil pumps - I was obliquely mocking the seller (hope
he isn't on the list).
