I never run my car during the winter, unless it is to drive it on a clear and
dry day.

20 minutes is not enough to thoroughly warm the engine, even with a fast idle.
It takes about twenty to thirty minutes of driving to bring it all up to temp.
Less heat is produced by the engine when it is not driving the car.

Youre best bet is to prepare the car for storage properly. Fill the tank,
change the oil, add fuel stabilizer, either put the car on blocks or add 5-7
pounds of air to the tires. You may want to use a trickle charger on the
battery. When spring comes, remove the spark plugs and crank the engine until
you hoave oil pressure. Install the plugs and off you go.
