Bushes? I think you mean contacts. They can be serviced, but there could
be something more fundamental if it is only that old. I'm sure someone will
recommend an electronic SU (no points) but I couldn't. Mine has done about
60k now and played up for 20 mins 3 years ago and stopped altogether twice a
couple of weeks ago. It was only desperation and switching the ignition on
and off a few times that made it burst back into life. I've tweaked the
position of the transistor a little, but next time it's in the bin and a
pointy one goes on in its place.
