There are two distinct types, rubber and nylon (?). The rubber ones give
a distinct impression of being there for occasional use. An example is the
presence of one on the floor of the trunk (boot). The nylon ones are obviously
not intended for such usage, such as in the doorjambs. So far I've counted
seven rubber ones and eight nylon plugs.
