Scott,
Replacing the window rubber scraper and the fuzz piece is not all that
difficult. Take the door panel off. Pry the little plastic holders
gently. If they break, they can be replaced with generics from the Napa
store. That will reveal the three bolts that hold the winder mech in
place. Remove them. Lower the glass into the door.You may have a felt
covered wood block in the bottom of the door, but it will lift out if you
need more room. Swap the old and new rubber and fuzz. T-50 staples work
OK.
While the winder assy is down, give it a good lubrication.Put silicone
spray on the fuzz channels that hold the window glass. Also check for
rust in the door.
This is an opportunity to get the alignment of the door-top aluminum
trim just right, so it does not strike the B post.
If there was no piece of polyethylene sheet behind the door panel,
install one. Stick it to the door with rubber cement. It keeps rain leaks
from warping the door panel.
Figure an hour for the first door and 30 min for the second.
