All this talk has gotten me fired up to fix my OD problem. It's not the same, though, as mine will always engage but frequently won't disengage, even by the lockout switch. Is this dangerous? Will tooling around with my 100 ft. lb. of torque in 1st with the OD engaged (until I fix it, of course) somehow shred the OD unit?
