Before everyone starts going by what they've heard, you need to KNOW the answers
to the following questions:

Sugar is soluble in what materials?

Sugar is crystalline. What is the average size of each crystal?

What is the melting point of sugar?

What is the temperature of the oil in a typical engine sump?

Does the engine have an oil filter and where is it at in the system?

What happens when the oil filter clogs up?

What would happen to the engine if sugar granuals should go through the oil
system and what would happen to the sugar crystals?

If sugar is in the liquid state, what materials will dissolve it?

What is the mesh size of each filter or screen used in the car?

What is the smallest orifice in the carburetor and how does it compare to the
size of a sugar granule?

What type of valving is used in the fuel pump and how does solid material effect
their function?

At what temperature does sugar in the granulated state burn and what are the by
products of its combustion?

What is the combustion temperature inside the cylinder(s) of the engine?

If sugar is in its molecular state at what temperature does it burn?

etc.
