Bud, I just had the opportunity to "fuse" sheet metal parts on my MG.  Check
with a real body shop supply company for fusing material.  There are various
steel fuser products available.  I used Lord Fuser.  I think Lord and 3M are the
only suppliers of this type product.  These products are generally a two part
epoxy, similar to JB Weld, but specifically formulated for automotive sheet
metal.

It was a friend of mine that suggested I try this stuff.  He is a body man, he
told me they rarely weld any more, everything is glued together!  Crash tests
indicate fused metal is as sound as welded metal.
