Does anyone have experience with the "Super Starter" that catalogs
are selling as a replacement for a Bendix type starter (early B)? It
looks like a "pre-engaged" gear reduction starter, but according to
the catalogs, works with the earlier type tranny and flywheel. Seems
like a good thing, especially for a high-compression engine. They
are expensive, and I had heard that when they first came out they
were somewhat unreliable--need more information. Thanks.
