Mark,
Today on the History Channel's "What If..."--what if the Vikings had
nuclear weapons...
But seriously, see:

I've actually seen a Bugeye Sprite with a small block Corvette engine.
Lots of stuff would need to be beefed up. Probably change rear axles
for a narrowed Ford, bigger brakes (at least pads), really
complicated exhaust (redesign of the steering linkage to go around
the exhaust manifold), a much bigger radiator, new homemade oil pan,
fender flares for wider tires, and LOTS of thermal insulation. Don't
cut much of the unit body to fit it in, unless you re-engineer the
whole chassis.
Consider getting a small block aluminum Buick 215 V8 from an old
Sixties sedan. Or the Range Rover engine from a rolled
Discovery--same engine basically. The engine bay on later MGBs was
made for it. Good luck...

A file that big?
It might be very useful.
But now it is gone.
