Your title says it all.
I have a MGA frame that someone attempted to do this on. It is now missing part
of the top half on the front cross member, portions of the side rails between
the goal post and the mounts have been cut away, the cross member for the
transmission is gone, the inner fender panels have chuncks out, the front frame
extension has pieces cut out, the fire wall is cut up, the transmission cover is
gone, the rails holding the floorboards from the transmission forward are gone,
etc. All of this was done with a cutting torch.
If you want that type of hairy chested straight line squirt, buy a Cobra.
Why ruin a perfectly balanced classic!!??
