I guess another factor is that the TD had a direct mechanical linkage
from the pedal through a solid clutch rod to the pivot to another clutch
rod directly to the throw-out lever on the clutch.  If you have a
hydraulic system, you may be more isolated than I was.  Don't remember
what the MGA has.
