I would think that the finger tight, 1/4 turn concept would only apply to that particular spark plug with that particular style of seat, or sealing washer. Those directions were quite often used years ago, as many people didn't know what a torque wrench was, or even had one. Your best bet is to consult the shop manual, or get the torque specs from the plug manufacturer. |
